Students visit Washington, D.C., and area sites
Carrie Grilliot of Versailles and Sam Judd of Lewisburg were among 35 high school winners from throughout Ohio who visited Washington, D.C., and other points of interest in June as part of Ohio Rural Electric Cooperatives, Inc.’s Youth Tour to the nation’s capital.
The weeklong trip included a visit to the U.S. Capitol and other areas of historical significance. The students were awarded the tour in a competition sponsored by Darke Rural Electric Cooperative. The sophomores and juniors joined 1,500 other rural youths representing 44 states and several countries. As part of their tour of the nation’s capital, students met with members of their congressional delegation, visited Arlington National Cemetery and attended a performance at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
Carrie is the daughter of John and Louise Grilliot, and Sam is the son of Scott and Robin Judd.

Every year when we check our meters we
find there are some meters that we don't
have access to. For safety purposes, we
must have access to every meter on the system.
If the meter at your location for one
reason or another is not accessible to Co-op
personnel, please call and let us help you to
determine the easiest way to move it. If
your location is on the list to have meters
checked and we can't get to it, you will be
receiving a letter on this matter.
