Trustees to be elected
Darke Rural Electric Cooperative’s Annual Meeting of Members is held every year to discuss the business of the cooperative and to elect members to the board of trustees. Members of the board of trustees are elected for three-year terms.
Trustees whose terms expire this year are Robert Buschur of District 2, representing Wabash, Patterson, York, Wayne and Richland townships in Darke County; and Jack Kitchel of District 6, representing Jefferson, Monroe and Jackson townships in Preble County.
The nominating committee met Jan. 7 at the cooperative office to select the following candidates for election to the board of trustees: Dan Gehret and Scott Smith from District 2; Jack Kitchel and Robert Weireter from District 6.
Each district will elect one candidate at the Annual Meeting of Members on March 19. The meeting will begin promptly at 12:30 p.m. at the Lighthouse Christian Center, 5256 Sebring Warner Road, Greenville.

Every year when we check our meters we
find there are some meters that we don't
have access to. For safety purposes, we
must have access to every meter on the system.
If the meter at your location for one
reason or another is not accessible to Co-op
personnel, please call and let us help you to
determine the easiest way to move it. If
your location is on the list to have meters
checked and we can't get to it, you will be
receiving a letter on this matter.
