"TURTLE" ENERGY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM/AMR
AMR, or Automatic Meter Reading is making the monitoring of electricity usage a snap these days at Darke Rural Electric Cooperative! Connected to a member's home or business in place of outdated meters, the “Turtle” meters automatically record daily usage and sends it to the coop. Not only does this make billing easier, but it also helps the co-op reduce its paperwork while keeping on top of outages and other problems. To read more, download an AMR brochure.

Every year when we check our meters we
find there are some meters that we don’t
have access to. For safety purposes, we
must have access to every meter on the system.
If the meter at your location for one
reason or another is not accessible to Co-op
personnel, please call and let us help you to
determine the easiest way to move it. If
your location is on the list to have meters
checked and we can’t get to it, you will be
receiving a letter on this matter.
