Darke Rural Electric Cooperative, Inc.

First place winners in the Darke Rural Electric Cooperative scholarship contest qualify to participate in the Ohio Rural Electric Cooperative (OREC) Scholarship contest held in May in Columbus, OH.

Once again, OREC will give six scholarships in each division (boys and girls), ranging from $1,260 to $2,625.

Second Place:		$1,835
Third Place:		$1,575
Fourth Place:		$1,470
Fifth Place:		$1,365
Sixth Place:		$1,260

Applications for the Darke Rural Electric Cooperative scholarship contest will be available January 10th. Contact your high school guidance office, call the co-op office at 937-548-4114, or visit this site for an application. The application deadline is March 16, 2009.

Every year when we check our meters we find there are some meters that we donâ€™t have access to. For safety purposes, we must have access to every meter on the system. If the meter at your location for one reason or another is not accessible to Co-op personnel, please call and let us help you to determine the easiest way to move it. If your location is on the list to have meters checked and we canâ€™t get to it, you will be receiving a letter on this matter.
